    According to multiple reports, an offer by the San Antonio Spurs to free-agent forward Marcus Morris has been pulled, leaving the eight-year veteran to sign a one-year, $15-million deal with the New York Knicks. The Spurs will reportedly opt instead for fourth-year forward Trey Lyles, who spent the last two years with the Denver Nuggets after originally being drafted No. 12 overall by the Utah Jazz in 2012.

    The Knicks have agreed to a one-year, $15MM deal with Marcus Morris , Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Morris had previously come to an agreement with the Spurs but choose not to honor the verbal agreement.
    San Antonio was planning on using its mid-level exception to sign Morris and turned the DeMarre Carroll acquisition into a sign-and-trade in order to accommodate Morris on a two-year deal worth approximately $19MM. The Spurs traded away Davis Bertans as part of the Carroll sign-and-trade.
